Why Homeschool Families Choose Martial Arts

**Why Homeschool Families Choose Martial Arts**

If you're homeschooling, you already know the hardest part isn't the academics. It's finding the right physical outlet — something structured, social, and genuinely good for your kids.

That's where martial arts comes in.

**More than exercise.** Jiu jitsu, wrestling, and Muay Thai build real-world confidence. Kids learn how to handle themselves, how to stay calm under pressure, and how to respect the people they train with. The discipline carries over into everything else they do — including schoolwork.

**Built-in community.** One of the biggest concerns for homeschool families is socialization. On the mat, kids train side by side, help each other learn, and build real friendships. It happens naturally, without forcing it.

**Every kid develops on their own terms.** Martial arts is a journey, not a race. There's no bench to sit on and no tryout to fail. Kids progress at their own pace, earn their belts through effort, and learn that showing up matters more than being the best on day one.

**It fits a homeschool schedule.** With daytime and after-school classes for ages 5 and up — plus teen and adult programs for the whole family — it's easy to work training into your week.

**Charter funds welcome.** We're an approved vendor for Visions and Compass charter schools. Your school pays us directly through your instructional funds — no out-of-pocket cost to you.

**Try it free.** Every new student gets a free 3-day trial. Come watch a class, let your kids try it, and see if it's the right fit. No pressure, no commitment.

New Creation Wrestling & Jiu Jitsu has two locations — Benicia (675 East H Street) and Concord (1839 East Street). One membership covers both.
